Our Matcha

Where do you source your matcha from?

We have 2 different matcha blends sourced directly from Japan (Yame & Shizuoka). Countless sampling and testing later, we found this to be the best matcha for our needs.

Is it ceremonial or culinary grade?

“Ceremonial” and “Culinary” are actually marketing terms, not official grades in Japan. In Japan, matcha is defined by its harvest, cultivar and region.

Our matcha is first-harvest, picked during the earliest window of the growing season when the leaves are youngest, most vibrant, and naturally sweet. That's what gives it a clean, smooth taste without the bitterness that puts most people off.

So to answer the question, it's not “ceremonial grade.” It's better than that.

How fresh is the matcha you whisk?

Our matcha is stored in airtight containers, kept in complete darkness, and refrigerated at all times. Matcha degrades quickly when exposed to light, air, or heat, so we make sure it never is.

Is your matcha halal?

All our ingredients — matcha, milks, syrups — are pork-free and alcohol-free. We don't hold formal MUIS halal certification, though, so we'll leave the call up to you.

Do you have any dairy-free options?

Yes. Our Traditional Matcha Latte, Creamy Matcha Latte, and Ichigo Strawberry Matcha are all dairy-free if you pick oat milk as your base!

Ordering & Pickup

How does ordering work?
  1. Pick your drinks (up to 6 per order) and a 30-minute pickup window.
  2. Submit your order. We review each one by hand to make sure we can prepare it well. Everything's made fresh at home, so we accept only what we can fulfil.
  3. Once accepted, you'll see a PayNow QR. Pay within 15 minutes and tap “I've paid”.
  4. We verify the payment (usually 1–5 minutes during opening hours).
  5. We whisk your drinks fresh and message you when they're ready. Stay on the status page for latest updates.
  6. Come down to the void deck and collect — see you soon!
What payment methods do you accept?

We accept PayNow only. Once your order is accepted, you'll get a QR code with the exact amount to scan. If a voucher fully covers your order total, you can skip payment entirely.

How can vouchers be redeemed?

All your vouchers appear under “Your vouchers” on your account page, each with its own code. To use one:

  1. Copy the voucher code from your account.
  2. At checkout, paste it into the “Voucher code” field and tap Apply.
  3. Your discount will show on the order summary right away.

Only one voucher can be applied per order — they can't be stacked or combined with other vouchers.

Note: vouchers are paused during the opening promo and will be available again once the promo ends.

Can I cancel or change my order after placing it?

Cancel: Yes — you can cancel from your order page anytime before you tap “I've paid” on the PayNow screen. Once payment has been submitted, the order can no longer be cancelled and we're unable to issue refunds, so please double-check your items and pickup time carefully before paying.

Change items or timeslot: The order locks once submitted, so we can't edit items or shift timeslots through the order page. That said — if we haven't started whisking your drinks yet, you're welcome to drop us a message on WhatsApp and we'll do our best to accommodate. No promises, but we'll try.

Do you deliver?

Not at the moment, we're pickup only. Hand-whisked matcha is at its best within minutes of being made, so we'd rather hand it to you straight from the bowl than send it out for a long ride.

What if I miss my pickup timeslot?

Please send us a message on WhatsApp as soon as you know you'll be late. We'll do our best to hold your drinks. Matcha is best fresh, so quality drops if it has to sit for a while. If you no-show entirely, we unfortunately can't refund drinks that have already been made and paid for, but a quick message saves everyone the worry.

Where exactly is the pickup point?

Pickup is at the void deck of Block 50 Sims Drive, Aljunied. You can open directions in Google Maps or visit our About page for more info — your order confirmation will also show the full address along with your pickup time.

Loyalty

Do you have a loyalty programme?

Yes, it's called Bows, and you start earning the moment you create an account. You get 1 Bow for every S$1 you spend (on the order subtotal, before any discount). You can spend your Bows in the Bow Shop on your account page, where they swap into vouchers — discounts off your next order, free customisations, or a free drink.

There are three tiers based on your yearly tier progress:

Tier progress resets each year on the anniversary of your account, so you've always got a fresh shot at the rewards.

How does the friend referral scheme work?

When you bring a friend on board, you both get a 10% off voucher as a little thank-you. Here's how it works:

  1. You'll find your referral code on your account page.
  2. Share it with a friend — they sign up for a NAOCHA account.
  3. After signing in, they enter your code on their own account page.
  4. When their next order is accepted, the 10% off voucher lands in both of your accounts. Vouchers last 30 days from when they're issued.

A few small notes: each friend can use one referral code (and it locks in once they enter it), and there's no limit to how many friends you can refer.

Do points/Bows expire?

Yes — there are two separate clocks to know about.

Your Bow balance stays active as long as you place at least one order every 6 months. Each completed order extends the clock to 6 months from that order's confirmation. If you do go a full 6 months without ordering, the balance resets to zero — but you can always start earning again from your next order.

Tier progress (the counter that unlocks Ceremonial and Reserve) resets each year on the anniversary of your account signup, so you have a fresh shot at the tier rewards every year.

Vouchers have their own clocks too — most last 30 days from when they're issued, except birthday vouchers which last 14 days from your birthday. You'll see the exact expiry on each voucher.

Is this a registered business?

Yes. NAOCHA is a registered home-based beverage business in Singapore, operating under UEN 53523174A.

Do you do bulk orders?

Yes. Anything beyond our standard 6-drink-per-order limit counts as a bulk order. Drop us a message on WhatsApp and we'll sort out the timing and pricing together. Bulk orders need a bit more lead time, so the sooner you reach out, the smoother the planning.
